BBC recently released their iPlayer which allows you to watch many of the BBC shows on the web. Unfortunately for us, BBC does not allow users outside the UK to watch these shows. Luckily there’s a way around this. There are many sites recommending different software to use, but having tried many ways, this is the one I’ve found that works using Windows and Firefox: (note, you can also use instructions below to watch other content blocked from viewing within the US, or even to watch content only allowed in the US when you are abroad)

Step 1: Download and install the latest stable release of Tor using the default options. You can uncheck Privoxy in the install if you like. We will be using another proxy tool. (Tor is a tool that allows you to browse the web anonymously by routing your requests through various servers/proxies)

Step 2: We now need to ensure that the last server your request is routed through is a server in the UK. Go to https://torstat.xenobite.eu/. Click on the pulldown next to "CC:" and select "GB" and hit "search". Now click on the ">" under "Exit". You now have a list of servers in the UK that are allowed to be used as Exit Servers. Take note of all the nicknames of the servers except those marked Unnamed.

Step 3: Go to Start Menu and open All Programs -> Vidalia Bundle -> Tor -> torcc. This will open the Tor config file. Scroll all the way to the bottom and enter the following lines:
StrictExitNodes 1
exitnodes
An example of the second line above would be:
exitnodes anonion,anotherlink,colinwillsdorkyahoo
Save the file and exit notepad.

Step 4: Run Vidalia. After a few seconds, it should say "Connected to the Tor Network".

Step 5: Install the Foxy Proxy addon for Firefox.

Step 6: When you install Foxy Proxy, it’ll ask you if you want to add a Tor proxy to it’s settings. You’ll want to set up the Tor Proxy to have the following 2 patterns: BBC iPlayer pattern – http://*bbc.co.uk/* and Tor Check pattern – http://torcheck.xenobite.eu/*

Step 7: Check that you’re exiting through a UK server by going to http://torcheck.xenobite.eu/index.php

There you go – now, when you have Vidalia and Foxy Proxy running, whenever you go to the iPlayer site, you’ll be able to watch videos. Note, that you’ll probably have to repeat step 2 and step 3 intermittently, as the same UK servers don’t always exist.

All of us want to succeed in life. We want to accomplish something – to feel that in some way, we’ve “won”. It’s easy to get sucked in to thinking that we have to succeed on the world’s terms when, really, we each need to define success for ourselves.

What does success look like to you? Is it the model set down by your parents or grandparents: a steady job, your own house, kids? Is it what all your friends are chasing: big salaries, a huge television and a flashy phone?

When we point to someone and call them a “success”, what exactly do we mean? All too often, we mean that they’ve reached a high level of their career and they’re making a six-figure salary. But success is a lot more than how much money you make, or how much stuff you own...

Why Success Isn’t Money
We all know that money doesn’t make us happy. Beyond a certain level of security, having more money won’t make a difference – sure, you can always buy another gadget or splash out on a better bottle of wine, but will a few extra megapixels on your camera really matter? Will you even notice the difference between a $10 and a $100 bottle of wine?

A big bank balance might be nice to look at, but it can never replace the love of family and friends, or the sense of satisfaction gained by doing work which you enjoy and which is fulfilling. You could be earning $100,000 working a 60-hour week in a job which you hate ... is that success? I’d say no, it’s not.

Success Isn’t About Having Stuff
Sometimes, we treat success as though it’s a game where we need to rack up as many points as possible. We think success means having a particular career, or owning lots of flashy gadgets, or even having a partner and three kids.

I’m not saying that your career or your family don’t matter – of course they do. But in themselves, are they really “success”? Is your unmarried uncle a failure because he chose to travel the world and work for charities, rather than buying a house, settling down and having a family? I’d say no, he’s not.

Success Is Living Your Best Life
So what exactly is success? Well, there’s no single definition. Success is about living your best life, and only you can say what that means. It doesn’t matter what your friends or parents or society thinks: defining success is up to you.

Perhaps, to you, success means having enough money to get by, and having as much free time as possible. It might mean getting recognition in a particular field – maybe as an artist or a musician. For some people (both men and women), success might be about raising happy, healthy children.

I’d encourage you, whatever stage of your life you’re at, to take some time to truly think about what success looks like to you. Is it really about having a particular qualification or achieving a promotion? Or is it about having the life which you truly want?

Have you bought into someone else’s definition of success? Is it time to start living life on your own terms? If so, what’re you going to do about it?

Hisss (also known as Nagin: The Snake Woman) is a 2010 independent co-production between the United States and India, directed by Jennifer Chambers Lynch.. Bollywood Star Mallika Sherawat plays the lead role as Naagin.

Kissing a handsome male co-star who’s just emptied a spray of mouth-freshener is easy, but locking lips with a slithery snake with its icky fangs is indeed a big feat. Mallika Sherawat holds the distinction of being the first Bollywood actress to have kissed a snake in her upcoming thriller Hissss directed by Jennifer Lynch.

Mallika was expectedly queasy before the liplock with the serpent and it took a lot of egging on from Lynch and many retakes for Mallika to get the kiss right.

“In my previous films, I had to kiss – but they were all humans. Here, I was kissing a snake with Jennifer yelling out to me, ‘Mallika, look passionate, you are the naagin’. There were so many retakes and the snake was rubbery, slimy,” Mallika is quoted as saying in an interview.

Her fans have been waiting a long time for the release of Hissss. Now, the good news is that the film will finally make it to the theatres on October 22. And guess what? Mallika is already hissssing with excitement.

When it comes to a romantic look, you and your hubby may not agree on “the Look.” You want pink, he wants black. You want flowers, he wants trophies. And the differences go on and on… but here are a few key points to keep in mind when decorating your room for the ultimate night of romance.

1. No electronics allowed

Keep your bedroom a bedroom. It’s not an office! If you want romance to prevail, then no work is allowed, unless it is romantic work! That means no laptop, and no cell phone!

2. No TV? Romantic movie night!

Is there an exception to the NO electronics? I know a lot of people keep TV’s in their bedroom, so if you must, reserve the TV for the ultimate romantic movie just before lights out. Other than that, keep a cover over the screen. You might be conveying the message, “Go ahead and choose the game over me!”

3. Personal pictures of family

How is it possible to get in the mood with grandpa and grandma staring at you? Or your adorable nephew sporting his new haircut? Move these portraits out in the public viewing are and reserve the bedroom for photos of you and your sweetie.

4. Soft light

You may need to keep your ceiling light, but a soft, romantic glow is perfect to entice a love affair with your man! So turn off the bright overhead light and switch on the romance… by lighting candles… (see below!)

5. Candles are a great addition

Candles add a soft glow to any room, but they are especially nice in the bedroom. Scented candles are charming, but make sure the scent is agreeable with your partner. He may think flower smells are disgusting.

6. Silk Sheets

Silk sheets are perrrfect! They feel luxurious next to your skin. And they will rev up you’re your feelings of love. Go ahead and splurge on these. You will not regret it! If you can’t spend the money on silk sheet, though, go for a really high thread-count cotton sheets, at least.

7. Mirrors add glamour!

Guys like mirrors! Although I prefer not to have them around, save in the bathroom, some may like them posted all over the place. So let him enjoy!

8. No pets;

No matter how cute or favorable Fido may be, he’s not very sweet when he’s barking and whining to be up in the bed with you. Or worse, lying on your pillow beside you! Keep him out, at least until later…

9. Romantic paint:

He may not want pink, or flowers strown about everywhere, but keep the atmosphere peaceful, clean, and appealing. Any color combination can work. The key to romance is a neat, de-cluttered, and orderly appearance. No dirty laundry, stacks of books, or piles of unmated socks allowed!

10. No work area

If at all possible, keep your office out of the bedroom. Your mind will linger on things left undone, bills to pay, work for tomorrow… It’s a very romantic thought to walk into your bedroom and only have one thing on your mind – HIM!

So if you’re looking forward to night after night of romance, follow these tips and the romance will happen! Which of these tips do you agree with, and do you have any more to share? Please let me know!

The global financial markets were startled this week when Brazilian oil giant Petrobras sold an astonishing $70 billion worth of stock in the largest stock sale in history. Petrobras will use the money to fund aggressive offshore drilling–the kind that is being hotly debated in the U.S. after the Gulf OIL SPILL.

The Petrobras sale follows other huge stock sales by gigantic international companies, such as the IPO of the Agricultural Bank of China, which was the largest ever.

Compared to these offerings, the upcoming $20 billion IPO of American automotive giant GM seems almost quaint. And this is symbolic of America’s changing place in the world.

The US economy is still the world’s largest, but the gap is closing. Many think that, in another decade or two, China will surpass the United States to become the largest economy in the world.

As the U.S. tries to clamp down on business, meanwhile–re-regulating industries like Wall Street that many blame for the Great Recession–the rest of the world is charging ahead. As we discuss banning offshore drilling for our oil companies, Petrobras et al, drill instead. As we outlaw stem-cell and other biotech research on moral or safety grounds, Chinese companies make the breakthroughs instead. And so on.

None of this means the “end” of America, of course. The British Empire has been in decline for a century now, and Britan’s doing just fine. But it’s certainly symbolic of the country’s changing place in the world.

Naxalite separatist militants will be targetting foreign nationals and athletes in next week’s Commonwealth Games in New Delhi.

The reports identify two separate militant groups, one of which has come under the radar as recently as 18th of September, as the athletes and forward teams start arriving in New Delhi.

LEAKED INTELLIGENCE DOCUMENTS FROM CENTRAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION, NEW DELHI

The militant groups are said to have been supplied with explosives, gelatin sticks and detonators by ‘a large network’, related to the August 27th incident in Madhya Pradesh where a hundred and sixty three (163) trucks laden with explosives went missing. NDTV reported at the time the trucks were loaded with detonators and gelatine sticks which were being sent from the government’s Dholpur Factory in Rajasthan to Chanderi and Sagar town in Madhya Pradesh.

Both companies are owned by Jaikishan Aswani, who has close links with extremist Hindu militant groups.

With barely days to go before the start of the Commonwealth Games, the leak of these documents is bound to raise serious doubts over the security and threat perception for the games, already reeling from planning and construction issues as well as the pull-out of leading international athletes citing security and hygeine concerns.

On Tuesday, September 21st, an Australian television news crew managed to enter the main games arena carrying a suitcase with an explosives detonation kit without being stopped.

The Channel 7 journalist who also filmed blackmarket explosives on sale near New Delhi, walked into the venue carrying the case, capable of triggering upto 200 explosions if fitted with a detonator, without attracting suspicion.

The Indian Government has asked the army to be on alert in view of the Commonwealth Games. The alert was sounded after several nations raised security concerns following the September 19 Jama Masjid shooting in which two Taiwanese tourists were injured and a bomb went off in a car near the firing spot.

However, the fact that this latest information regarding the naxalite plans to specifically target foreign nationals and athletes has come to light this late, security officials are said to be horrified at what lies in wait as athletes start arriving in Delhi for the games.

‘We knew there would be threats and we had covered most of the ground where we saw these threats coming from. However this new information is absolutely devastating since we just do not know enough at this stage to be able to confidently reassure the public that the games will go on without incident. All we know is that there are people intent on killing the foreign nationals and that they have the means to do so. There is a serious amount of explosives and detonation kits channeled into Delhi specifically for these games’, said a security official to PKKH on condition of anonymity.

Aafia Siddiqui Sentenced: A Grievous Miscarriage of Justice - by Stephen Lendman

On September 23 in federal court, US District Court Judge Richard Berman sentenced political prisoner Aafia Siddiqui to 86 years in prison. Outrage most accurately expresses this gross miscarriage of justice, compounding what she's already endured following her March 30, 2003 abduction, imprisonment, torture, prosecution, and conviction on bogus charges.

Earlier articles explained her case in detail, accessed through the following links:

http://sjlendman.blogspot.com/2008/12/abduction-secret-detention-torture-and.html

http://sjlendman.blogspot.com/2010/02/aafia-siddiqui-victimized-by-american.html

http://sjlendman.blogspot.com/2010/03/aafia-siddiqui-victimized-by-american.html

In modern times, she's one of American depravity's most aggrieved victims, now given a virtual life sentence for a crime she didn't and couldn't have committed, explained in the above articles.

In recent months, she's been in New York's Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in maximum security solitary confinement, during her trial, conviction and September 23 sentencing. Importantly, her life was effectively destroyed by years of horrific tortures, repeated rapings, and other abuses in Bagram Prison at America's Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan.

Addressing the court, said said "I'm not paranoid. I'm not mentally ill. I don't agree with" anyone saying so, though it's hard imagining why not after years of horrific brutalization. A Pakistani/American scientist, years of torture and abuse destroyed her persona, yet somehow she survived and endured more stress from prosecution, a travesty of a trial, conviction and sentencing.

Reporting on the court's decision, the BBC repeated government lies, including her possessing bomb making instructions to blow up New York landmarks - "evidence that she was a potentially dangerous terrorist." Yet her indictment was on totally different charges - preposterous ones accusing her of the following:

In the presence of two FBI agents, two Army interpreters, and three US Army officers, this frail 110 pound woman allegedly assaulted three of them, seized one of their rifles, opened fire at close range, hit no one, yet she alone was severely wounded.

At trial, no credible evidence was presented. The charges were concocted and bogus. None accused her of plotting to blow up New York or any other landmarks or facilities.

Yet proceedings were carefully orchestrated. Witnesses were enlisted, pressured, coerced, and/or bribed to cooperate. Jurors were then intimidated to convict, her attorney Elaine Whitfield Sharp, saying their verdict was "based on fear, not fact." No evidence was presented except claims government prosecutors invented to convict.

The International Tribune also highlighted today's proceedings, headlining "Dr. Aafia sentenced to 86 years imprisonment," saying:

It was on seven counts "for allegedly firing at US troops in Afghanistan." After the announcement, protests erupted across Pakistan. In Karachi, civil society and political party workers rallied "in front of the Karachi Press Club....ask(ing) the federal government" to intervene on her behalf.

Jamaat-e-Islami, PASBAN, Defense of Human Rights, and other civil society members marched toward the US Embassy, expressing outrage and demanding she be released "as a goodwill gesture."

"Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister Ms. Sharmila Farooqui asked the United States to release (her) on humanitarian (grounds) as a goodwill gesture to Pakistan....Now is the time for the US to show goodness and pardon a Pakistani woman who is innocent."

Farooqui said Aafia was wrongly abducted, then handed over to US authorities. She's "an innocent woman," outrageously treated, convicted and sentenced.

Explaining further she said:

"In Islam and Pakistan, handing over a woman to foreign countries is a sin, but it is a pity that an innocent woman was mercilessly given in(to the) hands of the (previous) US" government.

She also urged international human rights organizations to actively pursue her release.

A Final Comment

At issue is 9/11 truth, the subsequent bogus "war on terror" based on a lie, America's war on Islam that followed against Iraq, Afghanistan, and Muslim Americans, victimized for political advantage. Aafia is perhaps its most aggrieved living victim, her persona destroyed and life ended by a virtual life sentence unless clemency or world pressure saves her.

Her case should incite everyone's moral outrage. It also reveals America's true face, its rogue agenda, targeting Muslims for their faith and ethnicity, making us all equally vulnerable.

Women are at their attractive best when they are 31—that’s the precise age when, according to a survey, they are considered most beautiful.

The poll of 2,000 men and women, commissioned by the shopping channel QVC to celebrate its Beauty Month, found that females in their early thirties are seen as more attractive than younger girls as they are more confident and stylish.

The research concluded that beauty is as much about personality as appearance.

It was defined as being confident by 70 per cent, having good looks by 67 per cent and being stylish by 47 per cent.

Almost two thirds of women surveyed - 63 per cent - agreed that "with age, comes beauty".

The same number said that as they get older, they care less about what others think of the way they look.

And 51 per cent said as they age they shed their insecurities and feel prettier.

The survey also found that men now spend more on their looks than women—their monthly bill including gym and hairdressers is 119 pounds, compared to girls' 105 pounds.

"This research shows what many have always suspected - real beauty is about more than just good looks, but a combination of confidence, style and personality too,” the Scotsman quoted Sue Leeson, marketing director of QVC, as saying.

"We know that treating yourself to something that makes you feel good, experimenting with hairstyles, and knowing the make-up to wear that makes you look your best will enhance your confidence and make you feel at your peak,” she added.

Women in their late 20s and early 30s are considered more attractive than fresh-faced eighteen and nineteen year olds, researchers found.

The findings, from a survey of the opinions of over 2,000 men and women, found that beauty was as much rooted in personality as appearance.

Celebrities currently at the prime age of 31 include TV presenter Christine Bleakley, Strictly Come Dancing judge Alesha Dixon and Danielle Lineker.

The average British woman is already married with children by her thirties.

When asked when women are at their most attractive, more people picked 31 than any other age.

Beauty was defined as being confident by 70 per cent of respondents, having good looks by 67 per cent and being stylish by 47 per cent.

Mobile phones are writhing bug factories that can harbour 18 times more bacteria than a flush handle in a men's toilet, a new study shows.

With iPhone 4 fever about to hit Melbourne, a researcher who swabbed 30 mobiles found at least seven had unacceptably high levels of bacteria.

The results point to potentially poor hygiene among millions of mobile phone users that could result in stomach upsets, or worse.

"The levels of potentially harmful bacteria on one mobile were off the scale," said UK hygiene expert Jim Francis.

"That phone needs sterilising."

The microscopic nasties ranged from enterobacteria, a group of bacteria that includes bugs such as salmonella, to food poisoning bugs e.coli and staphylococcus aureus.

Even if a phone owner is scrupulously clean, beating the bacteria may not be so simple.

Handing your phone to others so they can view holiday snaps or marvel at a cool new iPhone app is an invitation for bugs to get on board.

Researcher Ceri Stanaway said most phones in the study didn't have any bacteria that would make users sick straight away, but they were grubbier than they need be.

"The bugs can end up on your hands, which is a breeding ground and be passed back to your phone," she said.

"They can be transferred back and forth and eventually you could catch something nasty."

Researchers said the study showed how easy it was to come into contact with bacteria.

"People see toilet flushes as being something dirty to touch but they have less bacteria than phones," Ms Stanaway said.

Can a mobile phone (cell phone) be converted into a bomb exploding device?

I have been asked this question Many a times. Firstly, i was very doubtful about mobile phone being used as a remote contol to explode bombs etc. After searching the internet and consulting many speacialists I was astonished to know that YES IT'S TRUE. I mean a cell phone can be converted into a mobile exploding device. But it must be noted here that Mobile phone itself is not converted into a bomb instead it is attached to an explosive material.
I am writing this article NOT to spread TERROR around the world BUT JUST TO MAKE THE PEOPLE REALISE THAT TERRORIST MAY USE YOUR CELL PHONE FOR THEIR PURPOSES.

HOW TO CONVERT A MOBILE PHONE INTO REMOTE CONTROL:
Simply follow these steps...

Step1: Take an old, cheap cell phone

Step 2: Open up the cell phone

Step 3: Locate the Vibrator. Separate the vibrator from the handset. Vibrator rotates during receiving calls that create vibration.

step 4: Vibrator is usually located at the upper right side of mobile sets. Make a small hole on the side of the hand set for the passage of wires.

Step 5: Make the connections of the wires as shown in the figure below

step 6: Reconstruct the phone

Step 7: Now, when the phone is called vibrating component rotates. with this rotation Circuit is completed, ignitting the fuse. (watch the video)
This fuse may either be a Low AMP wires, or MILLIONS OF TON POTASSIUM NITRATE.

CAN A TERRORIST HACK SOMEONE'S CELL PHONE TO CARRY OUT THE BLAST?

After listening to the news circling around the country, I was able to investigate following procedure which any a person can use to carry out a blast. Remember the fact that, the following details may not be 100% true but these make sense

First of all, someone has to build a very sophisticated software to hack someone cell phone remotely. I am 100% sure that these softwares must be available in market. Now that person would call you and request to press any button. as soon as you press the button, your cell phone will go into his hands. Although both of you might be using your cell phone but hacker would be more incharge than you would be. Then he would make a call on a cell phone that has been attached to an explossive material. As soon as he does this, there will be an explosion and the game is over. You might be unaware of what your mobile has done.

DON't BE WORRIED. ABOVE DETAILS ARE GIVEN JUST TO AWARE YOU OF SUCH TACTICS.

SUCH INCIDENTS HAVE NOT BEEN REPORTED IN PAKISTAN IN PAKISTAN BY NOW.

BUT SUCH INCIDENT HADE HAPPENED IN IRAQ

proof is here...

A radio-controlled IED incorporating a cell phone which is modified and connected to an electrical firing circuit. Cell phones operate in the UHF band in line of sight with base transceiver station (BTS) antennae sites. Commonly, receipt of a paging signal by phone is sufficient to initiate the IED firing circuit.
